Do you have pain in the jaw, teeth or ear?

Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ Disorder or TMD) is a term used to describe pain that is originating in the joint of your jaw. The pain may be felt though in your:

  • Ear
  • Jaw
  • Teeth
  • Head (headaches are commonly felt in the temple area)

Many people suffer from TMD and, as well as pain, some people suffer from:

  • Bruxism (grinding of teeth at night)
  • Clicking/cracking in the jaw
  • Fullness within the ear

Some people have to change their diet because they cannot:

  • Open their mouths wide enough
  • Bite into hard foods (carrots/apples)
  • Chew soft elastic foods (breads/meats
