Matthew joined the Restore Movement team in 2014, bringing a gentle and caring approach to his clients as well as a wealth of experience in community health, aged care, and occupational physiotherapy. Matthew is our go-to clinician for home ergonomics which kept him busy during the COVID-19 lockdowns!

Matthew’s main objective in treating patients is to find a customised approach to each individual client, focussing on individual strengths to get the most out of them. He has strong manual therapy (hands on) skills and believes manual therapy helps the body prepare for exercise or rehab.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys staying active by cycling and practicing Tai Chi. He’s also a swing dancer and has a passion for reading, with a particular love for Stephen King novels. He’s also writing his own science fiction fantasy novel so stay tuned! When Matt’s not working or writing, you can find him spending time with his two kids or baking cakes and bread at home.
