BUSHFIRE FUNDRAISER DONVALE CC
Had a terrific lunch and presentation from Asanka Gurusinha, former Sri Kankan test batsman at Donvale CC yesterday. Met Donvale and Fitzroy Doncaster CC leaders promoting the 20 20 game today between past players of Sri Lanka and a combined Donvale team. The club continues to raise funds for the Bushfire Appeal.
RESTORE MOVEMENT HELPS SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPY IN SRI LANKA
In September two of Restore Movement’s Physiotherapy team, Steve Sandor and Kusal Goonewardena participated in a seminar and Conference in Colombo Sri Lanka. This will set the wheels in motion for Sports Physiotherapy to grow in that country.

Steve Sandor, Richmond FC Physiotherapist 1979-83, works each year with Dr David Marsh on a voluntary basis at the “Legends game”, where money is raised for retired Richmond players experiencing difficulties.

AFL INJURIES
At the beginning of the Women’s AFL season, I predicted serious injuries would occur and unfortunately that has been the case. Kate Sheahan tore her ACL after only seconds on the arena. She will most likely have a reconstruction and follow a 9-to-12-month rehab program.
